As a professional photographer, I have always been passionate about capturing the perfect shot. For many years, I relied on my trusty DSLR cameras to do just that. However, as technology advanced, I found myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the accuracy of my DSLR's analogue viewfinder. This frustration ultimately led me to switch to mirrorless cameras, which offer a digital viewfinder that has revolutionized the way I shoot.

The problem with analogue viewfinders is that they are not always accurate, especially when it comes to focusing. Even with the best lenses and the most precise focusing systems, there was always a risk of missing the focus point by just a hair. This was especially true when shooting at wide apertures like f1.2, which is often necessary for capturing beautiful portrait shots with a shallow depth of field.

With my mirrorless camera, I no longer have to worry about missing the focus point. The digital viewfinder provides a clear and accurate preview of the shot, allowing me to see exactly where the focus is going to land. However, with a digital viewfinder, I can make adjustments on the fly and see the results in real-time.

Of course, switching to a mirrorless camera did require me to adapt to a few changes. For example, I had to get used to the electronic viewfinder, which can take some getting used to if you are used to the traditional optical viewfinder. Additionally, battery life can be a concern with mirrorless cameras, as they tend to drain faster than DSLRs.

However, these minor inconveniences are more than offset by the benefits of the digital viewfinder. The accuracy and convenience it provides have transformed the way I shoot, allowing me to capture shots with a level of precision that was simply not possible with my old DSLR. For any photographer looking to up their game, I highly recommend giving mirrorless cameras a try.
